Who provides Finite
Finite is a Kirado product. For privacy questions or requests, contact finite@kirado.io.
Finite is a personal expense and budget tracker. It helps you record spending and income, organize receipts, and review budgets. Accounts and transfers in Finite describe records you keep; the app does not connect to your bank, hold money, or make payments. Its tax preparation tools organize local records and provide estimates within their stated scope; they do not file returns.
Data stored on your device
Finite stores the account names, expenses, income, budgets, notes, labels, receipt attachments, tax preparation data, assistant conversations, and record-change history you create on your device. No Finite sign-in is required, and Finite does not operate a service that receives or synchronizes your records.
By default, Finite asks iOS to exclude its local ledger, receipt attachments, and tax preparation files from device backups. In versions with Settings → iPhone backup, you can allow these files to be included in Apple’s device backups. This includes accounts, transactions, budgets, schedules, receipts, tax records and documents, saved assistant conversations, and record-change history. The setting also applies to computer backups made through Apple’s backup tools. Earlier versions without this setting request exclusion. App preferences are managed separately by iOS and may be backed up.
To use iCloud Backup, you must also enable it in iPhone Settings and allow Finite in the device’s backup settings. Apple manages backup timing, available storage, retention, and restoration. Finite cannot verify that a backup completed or recover individual records from an iPhone backup. Restoration uses Apple’s device restore process, and the app must be available to reinstall. Turning this setting off requests exclusion from future backups; it does not delete existing backup copies. Manage those copies through Apple’s settings or your computer. Backup inclusion and exclusion are instructions to iOS, not a guarantee of backup or erasure. Without a usable backup, deleting the app or losing the device can mean losing these records. Reports and shared exports are not a complete app backup.
API keys are stored in the device Keychain with device-only access and are not synchronized through iCloud Keychain. They are not stored in app preferences or included in AI prompts. Device-only keys do not transfer to a different iPhone when restoring a backup; you must enter them again there. Apple may restore them to the original device. You can remove a saved API key in Assistant settings.
Camera, photos, documents and exports
If you choose to capture a receipt, Finite requests camera access and reads receipt text on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Photos and documents are selected through the system picker; Finite stores a local copy of files you choose. Choosing or capturing a receipt does not automatically send the file to an AI provider.
When you export or share records, you choose the destination. Copies saved to another app, device, or storage service are outside Finite’s local deletion controls.
Optional AI Agent and third-party providers
AI Agent is optional and is off until you enable it and configure your own API key. Recording expenses, reviewing records, managing budgets, and reading receipts work without AI.
If a request needs AI Agent, Finite connects directly to the provider you selected: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or Z.ai. It sends your current request, a bounded recent conversation, and relevant details needed to answer it. These details may include amounts, dates, account or category names, notes, budget details, and document names. The selected API key is sent to that provider over HTTPS as an authentication credential.
Finite does not upload receipt or attachment files, the complete ledger, the tax archive, or the complete saved request history as AI prompt history. The provider’s handling, retention, regional processing, and account association of data are governed by that provider’s terms and your provider account settings. Before enabling AI Agent, review the selected provider’s privacy terms and configure its data controls where available.
The explicit connection and assistant-check actions use synthetic content and the selected API key, even if ordinary AI Agent use is off. They do not read or change your records. Provider usage may incur charges on your provider account.
You can turn off Use AI Agent in Chat to prevent future Chat requests from using the provider and remove saved keys in Assistant settings. This does not delete requests a provider has already received. Any request about that provider’s retained data must use its privacy controls or contact process. Finite cannot promise a provider’s retention period or training policy.
The Finite app does not sell data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. It does not include analytics or advertising SDKs.
Retention and deletion controls
Working assistant context is limited to 12 exchanges, 16 KB, and seven days. Saved request history is separate: it defaults to 30-day retention, with 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, or until-deleted options. The complete saved request history is not sent as AI context.
You can clear assistant context and delete saved requests from Chat → More → History. You can remove stored API keys from Assistant settings; remove them before uninstalling because iPhone Keychain items can survive an uninstall. These actions do not delete spending records, receipts, tax records, or record-change history.
Financial-record deletion keeps local action history for review and undo. Deleting financial records does not promise to erase related receipt or tax files. You can remove a draft attachment before saving it; retained files and tax evidence should be managed from their respective record or tax workflows. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device, but does not promise to erase existing backups.
The developer cannot access, recover, or remotely delete records that remain only on your device. For help understanding the controls, use the privacy contact above. Do not send API keys or private receipts when asking for help.
This website and contacting us
This policy describes the Finite iPhone app and its product and privacy pages at kirado.io/finite/. These pages do not load marketing analytics, advertising scripts, or third-party fonts. Other Kirado pages and the Kirado business workspace are separate services; the marketing site’s optional analytics controls apply on those other pages.
The website is delivered through Google Firebase Hosting. Firebase processes request information to deliver the page and uses IP addresses to detect abuse and provide hosting usage information. Firebase states that it retains Hosting IP data for a few months. This does not give the website access to records stored in the Finite app. See Firebase’s privacy information.
If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and address your request. Please avoid sending private records or API keys. You can contact us about the information you supplied by email; this is separate from records stored only on your iPhone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the publisher will update the hosted policy before the affected app release.
